Chandler's 7 months / Halloween

On the 29th Chandler turned 7 months. He had his first ear infection last week, so he was very miserable. Monday, tuesday and wednesday he had a fever so i was alternating the tylenol and ibprofen and then he didn't have a fever thursday so I stopped giving it to him, but he screamed all day and then I realized his ear must be hurting since he wasn't getting the pain medicine. But I gave it to him on friday and saturday and he screamed all day those days too, so I don't know. I felt so bad for him, nothing made him happy. He is back to his cheerful self this week though and he and I are trying to catch up on our sleep from no sleep last week. At the doctor he got weighed, he is 17lbs 11oz. He's a chunk! :-D

Halloween was a blast. We are a Batman family right now. Jack of course wanted to be Batman. After we bought him a BLACK mask and i made him a BLACK cape he went around for several weeks telling everyone he was going to be a "BIG BLUE BATMAN" I think he did it just because he knew I would correct him, lol. Jack was Robin 2 years ago, so I didn't have to worry about figuring out a costume for Chandler. Jack always calls people "bad guys" including me and Jason, so he can fight us. So we were Poison Ivy and Two Face. It was a lot of work putting Jason's costume together, but so worth it! I was surprised because it seemed that a lot of people had no idea who we were supposed to be. Where are the Batman fans?!
Anyway we dressed up Saturday for our ward trunk or treat/ chili cookoff. I tried a new recipe to make chili and it was so good! I'm excited to have a new meal idea for our family (even though Jack doesn't like beans I think I can convince him to eat it since it has white beans in it). So Jack had a great time playing games. His friend Ethan was Bumblebee and they had a great time pretending to fight each other. There was another boy at the party dresses as Wolverine and Jack followed the poor kid around any time he saw him. One time Jack and I were in the hall and he told me "I've got to find Wolverine, I love him" haha. There was a costume parade where all the kids marched around the gym so everyone could see their costumes and Jack apparently thought it was a race. He was dodging in and out and running and squeezing between people and the wall. He was the only one running, it was really funny!
Sunday night we went to Jason's parents' house and had lunch and let all the cousins run around the house in the costumes. We all sat on the porch and visited and let the kids pass out the candy for a while until the oldest realized she was missing out on trick or treating and had a melt down. So Jason saved the night with the idea that we all go inside and the kids trick or treat to the bedrooms. All the kids decorated brown paper sacks and I marched them to each door in the house and one of the adults would answer the door and give the candy. It was awesome.

(sorry this post is kind of long)

Oh, poor Chandler!! I am glad he is feeling better now! Ear infections are the worst! I always think my kids have one, and then they never do. It is so hard to tell!
You guys looked great for your Trunk or Treat! I could barely tell that was you in your picture! You looked so pretty! And how fun trick or treating around the house!! Good thinking, Jason!
