hot lava

Most days around 10ish in the morning I have the 3 babies napping and so it gives me time to spend with just Jack. So we play outside or cook something, play batman, color, play with play dough, play trouble or candyland, or flash cards or even sometimes play Mario (if he's lucky!) and just talk. I try to come up with some creative things to do too. Yesterday we made a volcano! I was so excited! We made our own play dough and colored it green (I knew he would pick green, it's his favorite color lately) and formed a mountain around a water bottle. He got really nervous when it started to erupt, he thought the "hot lava" would burn him. He was so cute. Once I showed him that I could touch the red "lava" and it wasn't actually hot, then he was a sport and let me get a good picture of him close to it, but he still didn't want it to touch him.

Another time we made "pattern necklaces" we were so proud of them we've been wearing them most days for like 3 weeks now, haha.

Eating is always a good activity too! I love that Jack loves veggies,
here he's enjoying squash and mushrooms.

Jason took my "little" brothers to Utah at the beginning of October for General Conference. Then a week later he had to go to california for 3 days for a conference for work, so me and Jack and Chandler have had alot of alone time. I spent most of my free time painting the living room. I don't actually have much free time and so it took me about a week and a half. But my living room is very cozy now. I LOVE IT!

After:
(this is a phone picture, so not the best. And I haven't put pictures back up, I'm terrified of putting them up and feeling like I screwed it up, which isn't me at all, I usually just pick a spot and put a picture up.)

and I love this picture he was so surprised to wake up and see the first wall painted brown

and he had fun helping paint later...
I have all sorts of stuff to say about Chandler, but I'm going to save that for his 7 month post...8 days. Gosh he is getting too old!

And my Dad and Maura found out they are having a little boy. Michael Alexander Orth. My 4th younger brother. Thank goodness for my step-sis Rae and sis-in-law-to-be Ashley to balance things out for me!

I am proud of you for spending time with Jackson like that! What a good mom! How fun does that Valcano look!! I have a hard time spending quality time with Bryce during the day when Ryan and Tyler are at school. It is just so much easier to put on a movie or let him play on the computer...then I can do other things around the house! But I am very proud of you!
