We had a fun 4th of July. Saturday evening we went to a ward party where we swam and ate hotdogs, did slip'n'slide, played magnet darts, and had a lot of fun. We didn't go to fireworks this year, we figured since they start way after Jack's bedtime he would probably just be grumpy. It really just doesn't feel like the 4th without going to the parade and fireworks up in ShowLow, maybe next year. But we very much enjoyed having a 3 day weekend! Monday was just sat on the couch most of the day, it was wonderful! That evening we had dinner at Scott and Gayla's and went swimming.
We babysat Amber and Randy's kids on Friday night. We switch off babysitting for date nights, it's the BEST! Anyway here is a cute picture of my beautiful nieces painting the nails at my house.
Last Tuesday my sweet sister-in-law Amber invited me to go to an Eclipse party one of her friends was throwing. It was a blast. The girl who threw it went all out. She had put pictures of the Cullens in all the picture frames to make it seem like the Cullens' house, and everything was black and red.She even made her own questions so we could play Crainium (Twilight style of course). The funniest thing was when Amber and I sat down to eat our snacks I saw someone out of the corner of my eye just standing outside the window. It freaked me out, but it ended up being a cutout of Jacob Black, lol. It was also nice to do something with just Amber, we rarely do that. I forgot to pull out my camera that night, but luckily someone send their pictures to everyone else.
Other news, I applied to ASU yesterday! Hopefully I'll be accepted and I can start working on my degree in Elementary Education starting in January!
