"The Happiest Place on Earth"

Disneyland on Saturday was wonderful! We had talked about going in March for my birthday, but we were worried that Jack would be a pain trying to stand in lines and that it wouldn't really be worth it. I'm glad we waited a couple of months because Jackson was on his very best behavior, I've never seen him be so cooperative in his life! We took turns with Jeff and Jacki riding the big rides while the other couple took the kids on little rides. It was a brilliant idea! We were also able to go some rides all together with the kids, like Pirates! Jason and I were worried that Jack would be trying to climb out of boats and trying to run around and crying to get out of his stroller, because all that boy ever does is RUN, JUMP, and CLIMB!!!

I am still so amazed at what a good boy he was! One of my favorite things that happened was in the afternoon we took a little soda/ice cream break at this cute Coca-cola shop and while we were sitting there Alice from Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts, and Mad Hatter, and Peter Pan all came to the Coca-cola shop and brought all the kids that were sitting at the tables and had a random game of musical chairs. It looked so fun, it made me wish I was an 8 year old little girl! And the piano player was amazingly talented! Jackson had fun dancing to the piano music and the piano man even had everyone applaud Jackson for his dancing! After the musical chairs game Jackson got pictures with Alice and Peter. I was surprised he was so willing to put his arms around these characters he doesn't even know. He had had practice about an hour before though when we went to see Winnie the Pooh (he was so excited about that!)

We spent a few hours in the evening over at California Adventure. Jackson played in a little stream at a kids' play ground, luckily I brought extra clothes! He fell asleep after that. We explored some animation displays that were so awesome! We rode the Tower of Terror, which lived up to its name, lol! We were surprised at how cool the Muppet's 3D show was. We ended the night back over at Disneyland where we rode the Tea Cups, which turned out to be Jackson's most favorite ride, and then we watched the fireworks which were amazing. Strangely I almost teared up watching them, I think part of it was that Jackson was so mesmerized and partly because I knew we were going to leave when they were over. I don't know where all those people came from but after the fireworks it was nearly impossible to move, we finally made it to the shuttle to get back to our hotel and we slept like rocks all night!

Sounds like a really great trip! I'm happy to know that Jackson partied like a champ. It gives me hope....
