Yesterday was our 7th anniversary! We took off from work on Friday to celebrate. We dropped our wild boys off to Jason's mom around 8am. This picture of Chandler was an accident, but I thought it was so cute. Both boys had their stuffed Batmans and were wearing their batman capes. They were so excited to be at grandma's that they didn't really care if Jason and I left. I guess that is a good thing, although there's a selfish part of me that wishes I wasn't so replaceable considering I spend every second of every day catering to their every wish.
Here's me and my handsome hubby!
(also counts for my 30 week photo!!!)
We started our date by going to the temple. We did endowments for my dad's parents, so it was extra special!
After we left the temple we had some time to kill before our 2o'clock movie. We walked through the bookstore and went to ABC cake supply downtown. We saw The Hunger Games at the AMC Esplande. Each person gets their own cushy recliner and a waitress takes your order. The food was delicious. It was definitely worth doing for a special occasion, but too expensive to do regularly. The movie was so great! I have no complaints at all. I want to see it again already!
We stayed the night at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge and apparently a lot of celebrities did too (http://www.desertlivingtoday.com/2012/03/23/celebrity-fight-night-honorees/), although I didn't see any! When we checked in I ran into a girl I went to high school with. She was so sweet, she works there and she sent a free dessert up to our room for our anniversary. It is a beautiful hotel. We had a great evening walking around desert ridge and our hotel. We ate at Macaroni Grill, which was delicious even if our service was awful! It is amazing how much easier simple things like walking around a mall can be without children in tow. By Saturday morning I missed my little boys terribly though and was happy to have them back.
After we picked them up and helped Jason's sister move into their new place we took Jackson and Chandler to jump street. We had gone to a festival the day after Jackson got his staple and he wasn't able to do any of the activities, like bouncy houses. The only thing he got to do was the jail, which he actually loved...how sad is that???
So we told him that after he got the staples out we'd take him to jumpstreet. They had a blast! Can't you tell by how blurry both of them are in the pictures?!
Happy Anniversary to the best husband a girl could ask for! Seven years down, eternity to go!
